Other Area Resources for Families

Many people know that Charitable Union gives clothing to struggling local families, but that’s just part of what we do. Our ultimate goal is to help families prepare for independence and self-sufficiency so they don’t need us anymore. We do this by providing a wide variety of materials, programs and coordinated referrals so they can begin the journey out of poverty. These include:

  • Sheets, blankets, bedding and small household items

  • Work books and work clothes for various occupations

  • Disaster response services for local families

  • Books and other learning materials for children and adults

  • Pots, pans and dishes for families and recently homeless

  • Suits, pants and dresses for attending funerals or other events

  • Donated wedding and prom dresses

  • Coordinated referral services to meet urgent needs
