We Need Winter Coats, Hats and Gloves!

Can you imagine trying to get through the Michigan winter months without proper clothing? It's tough enough for an adult, but just think about a young boy or girl walking to school without a warm coat in freezing temperatures. That's the bitter reality for many local families. And the need is growing every day this sinter.

You can help! Charitable Union will be collecting winter coats all during the cold weather season. We urgently need coats to distribute to those in need this winter. For the drop-off schedule, please click here now, or call (269) 964-7234 for assistance

Blessings, Gladys! Long-time worker Gladys Griffin bids farewell to Charitable Union after five years.

Gladys

As part of the AARP Senior Works programs, Gladys Griffin worked at Charitable Union from 2006-2011. During those years she shared more than her talents – she also shared her heart with us, and she will be sorely missed.

Her deep faith and love for people taught us the importance of how people touch our lives. Charitable Union presented Gladys with a cake on her last day of work (photo left). Blessings on you, Gladys as you continue on your journey. We love you and will miss you!

► Charitable Union Holiday Gathering: Charitable Union hosted a Holiday Gathering on December 2, 2011, to thank donors, volunteers and staff for their support during this past year.

The event was held at the Foundation and featured a great array of hors'devours and a short program of thanks.

To all of you who were there and to those unable to attend....you are the foundation that makes Charitable Union what it is today, may each of you be blessed thoughout this coming new year.

Charitable Union's mission, to provide clothing and household items, free of charge, to those in need continues to touch many lives. Distributing these wagons has been another way that lives are touched. Not only are the wagons fun for the children who receive them, but they are a great help to parents who must otherwise carry their children to and from family appointments!
