And so they came….to celebrate the more traditional days of Valentine Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Birthday’s, Fat Tuesday (Paczkis anyone?), Mother’s Day, 4th of July, and Christmas. And they celebrated the more “innovative” days of Teddy Bear Day, Fabric Holiday, National S’mores Day, Coffee Delight Day (that was a wake-up call!), and (my favorite) Chocolate Lovers Day (sweet!).

Current Needs List
Summer is only just beginning. The school year has just closed. And Charitable Union is gearing up already for the next school year. We are gathering clothing to have ready for school outfits for next school year. If you have gently used or new clothing that kids will want to wear to school, please bring them down. We will have them ready for the kids at the end of the summer and they will be ready to step into a new year with pride.
We are already starting to "stock" our supply for the next "long winter" with winter coats also.
Summer Newsletter
The good works of Charitable Union continue to grow, but like every other 501(c)(3) charity today our funds are tight.
In an effort to save money we decided to put the Summer Newsletter online rather than send out hardcopies. Please take the time to read what's happening inside our organization. Invite your friends and family members to get online and check us out.
The Charitable Union’s Annual Report
The Charitable Union has maintained its mission of helping children and families in need through many economic cycles. Clients receive benefits from a wide range of services all free of charge. Through prosperous and more challenging times the agency is fueled by passionate volunteers who give of their time, talents and money.
Our central effort is to ensure that school children have clothing, shoes, socks, coats and a blanket for their bed. Twice a year school packets are give out which include new underwear and socks, new or gently used pants, shirts, dresses or skirts.
