Charitable Union

If you happened to walk into one of the more than fifty participating businesses or schools on January 21st, you may have been surprised to see employees looking a wee bit "comfortable".  Doned in jeans, more than a 1,100 area employees gave $5.00 each to support Charitable Union. Money raised on this, the "First Annual Wear Jeans for the Kids" Day, will help to purchase clothing, underwear, winter coats and other items that help kids who are in need to stay in school.

Charitable Union has been serving families in our community for over a century.   Our agency started in 1887 when a few church ladies saw the need for children to have clean clothes for school.   Clothes were given to those kids and over a century later we are still giving out clothes to kids in need.
